Simplicity Photo Challenge: Pastel

Cotton Candy.... mmmmm

We had the best time yesterday at a Circus themed birthday party.  Lots of games and sugar!  I think my favorite thing there was the cotton candy machine.  Cotton candy was floating everywhere and the girls were eating it out of the air!

Red Toenails

She loved springtime. She enjoyed letting the damp, sweet smelling dirt run through her fingers and the feeling of the cool green grass as it creeped between her toes.  To watch the plants that she lovingly chose from the nurseries grow and fill all of the empty spaces in the beds.  Roses and lilies.  Caladiums and pansies.  While the air remained cool, she cherished every moment that she had sitting in front of her tiny heaven waiting for the next sprout to appear. It spoke to her.  Whispering words of beauty and grace. Swaying in the breeze like ballerinas on pointe.  In perfect balance with nature and the world around it. Reaching towards the ever moving light.  So pretty.  So peaceful.  She loved springtime.

My FAMOUS kid friendly meatloaf cups!

I am doing somthing a little different today.  I am going to share with you a meatloaf recipe that your children/husand/dogs/cats/family will LOVE!

My FAMOUS meatloaf cups!!

Preheat your oven to 375

You will need
2 lbs hamburger/ground turkey meat
1 1/2 c old fashion oats
2 eggs
1 1/2 tbls garlic salt (or less depending on your taste)
pepper to taste
Optional:   1/2 c diced onion
Optional:  1/2 c diced bell pepper
(we do not add these because then it is not kiddo friendly!)

Add oats and eggs to thawed meat

Add garlic salt

and pepper (note the gloves. I hate touching raw meat!)

Call you kiddo in and let him/her do the dirty work
(again, note the gloves.  Starting um early!)
Mix, mix and mix somemore!

Spray two cupcake pans with nonstick

Use a cookie scoop to fill the cupcs with meat mixture

Okay, she was just too cute not to include!

Mash it down into the cups
Put into the oven for 25 min or until the center is done (or at least160 degrees)

Remove and drain on a towel

And this is supper!!
